Shipping Policy

Article 1 – Processing times Orders are processed within 2-3 business days of payment confirmation. Orders placed on weekends or French public holidays are processed the next business day. You will receive a confirmation email with tracking information once your order has shipped.

Article 2 – Delivery areas Chai Stub ships to France (metropolitan and overseas territories) and to all European Union member states. Shipping availability and rates are displayed at checkout based on the delivery address.

Article 3 – Delivery times Estimated delivery times from dispatch are:

  • France (metropolitan): 4–5 business days
  • EU member states: 7–9 business days
  • French overseas territories (DOM-TOM): 10–12 business days

These timeframes are indicative. In accordance with Article L. 216-1 of the French Consumer Code, if no delivery date is specified at the time of order, delivery must occur within 30 days. If this deadline is not met, the Customer may cancel the order and receive a full refund.

Article 4 – Shipping costs Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination, weight, and selected carrier. All costs are displayed inclusive of applicable taxes before order confirmation, in compliance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights (Article 6), which requires full price transparency prior to purchase.

Article 5 – Order tracking Once shipped, customers receive a tracking number by email. Tracking is available via carrier name/link as notified in the email. EU consumers have the right to be informed of the delivery status of their order at any time.

Article 6 – Delivery issues If a package is lost, damaged upon arrival, or significantly delayed, the Customer must contact us at info@chaistub.com within 7 days of the expected delivery date. In accordance with Article L. 216-4 of the French Consumer Code, the Seller bears the risk of loss or damage during transport when delivering to a consumer. The Seller will arrange a replacement or full refund as appropriate.

Article 7 – Failed delivery attempts If a delivery attempt fails due to an incorrect address provided by the Customer, or if the package is unclaimed, re-shipping costs are the Customer's responsibility. If the order is returned to us, the Customer will be contacted and may choose between re-shipment (at their cost) or a refund of the product price (excluding original shipping costs).

Article 8 – Customs and import duties (EU cross-border) All prices displayed include VAT applicable in the Customer's country of residence, in accordance with EU VAT OSS rules (Council Directive 2021/62/EU). No additional customs duties apply for deliveries within the EU single market. For deliveries to French overseas territories outside the EU customs area, local taxes or duties may apply and are the Customer's responsibility.

Article 9 – Right of withdrawal and returns Shipping costs for returns under the 14-day right of withdrawal (EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 14; Article L. 221-23 of the French Consumer Code) are borne by the Customer unless otherwise stated. Return shipping costs will be clearly communicated before the Customer exercises their right of withdrawal. For defective or non-conforming goods, return shipping is covered by the Seller under the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L. 217-4 et seq. of the French Consumer Code).
